The Kenya National Highway Authority has announced that, a section of Langata road will be closed to allow the erection of the T-Mall flyover.

According to a notice on Monday by KeNHA Director General Kungu Ndung’u, the planned closure is set to begin on 10th January 2022 to Saturday of January 15, 2022.

“The works will be scheduled to take place at night from 9 pm to 5 am throughout the construction period. T-Mall bound traffic will be diverted at the junction with Wilson Airport into the Lang’ata bound lane adjacent to the median,” KeNHA said in the traffic advisory statement.

Motorists have been advised to follow the guidelines and cooperate with the police and marshals on the site.

The construction of the T-Mall flyover on Lang’ata road and footbridges across Mbagathi road and Nyayo stadium is set to be completed by 2024.

The flyover will allow vehicles headed to Ongata Rongai and Magadi to pass over an elevated road to the Shell Petrol Station next to Wilson Airport.
