The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has advertised 418,192 posts ahead of the August 9, General Elections.
The commission is seeking to recruit 47 Deputy County Returning Officers, 47 County-Based Voter Educators, and 290 Constituency-based Voter educators.
Other positions to be filled include presiding officers (52,481), polling clerks/counting clerks (302,860), ICT clerks (580), and deputy constituency returning officers (290).
Those interested are advised to apply by visiting the IEBC portal and uploading their details and academic qualifications.
“Applicants who strictly meet the requirements should apply online at the IEBC jobs portal,” advised the electoral commission.
Speaking at the Anglican Church of Kenya Bishops and Senior Clergy conference, the Commission’s Chairperson Wafula Chebukati said successful applicants will be contacted by the electoral body after a review of the applications.
Meanwhile, the Commission’s pay rates are as follows for the successful applicants, Presiding Officers will be paid Ksh2,000 per day, Deputy Presiding Officers will earn Ksh1,800 per day while polling clerks will get Ksh1,000 per day.
Applicants have until May 5 to submit the applications.
