MP Sudi Champions Inclusive Growth with Uwezo Fund Disbursement
Persons with disabilities in Kapsaret Constituency, Uasin Gishu County, benefited from an effort spearheaded by local Member of Parliament Oscar Kipchumba Sudi to empower vulnerable groups in the region.
As part of this initiative, the MP provided Uwezo Fund cheques to various beneficiaries, including women, orphans, youth, and persons with disabilities.
In a statement shared through his official social media handles, the MP said the initiative goes beyond offering financial aid, highlighting its long-term impact on community development and self-reliance.
"This initiative goes beyond financial support; it ignites sustainable development by empowering our women, youth, and PWDs to thrive and become self-reliant," said MP Sudi.
The disbursement exercise, conducted in collaboration with local leaders, was aimed at unlocking opportunities for marginalized groups, enabling them to participate actively in economic growth and development.
Sudi praised the beneficiaries’ enthusiasm and urged them to invest the funds wisely to uplift not only themselves but also their wider communities.
The Uwezo Fund continues to play a critical role in supporting inclusive grassroots development, particularly in enhancing access to finance for groups often left behind in mainstream economic planning.
