Parents of Children With Disabilities Urged To Offer Full Support

Kenyan parents raising children with disabilities have been praised for taking on the vital responsibility of nurturing and supporting them. This message was emphasized during The Hashtag Podcast on Signs TV, which focused on the need for equal care, encouragement, and instilling hope in children with disabilities.
Ignatius Ogeto, popularly known as DJ Euphorique, a renowned disc jockey, shared his personal story of how his parents accepted and mentored him into the person he is today. He urged all parents to support their children with disabilities, saying that the future still holds great potential.
“Think of the journey of the child before giving up on them, because you will get blessings just by raising that child.” DJ Euphorique said.
He also encouraged Persons with disabilities (PWDs) to remain focused and determined to achieve success, even in a society that often sees disability before recognizing ability.
“When you feel like you are at the end of the road, just know that you are close to your success. Don’t give up.” He said.
The podcast concluded with a call for greater awareness, inclusion, and consistent support for children with disabilities across all sectors of society.
