Hashtag Podcast: State House DJ Euphorique's Journey
Ignatius Ogeto, well known by his stage name, DJ Euphorique, is a disc jockey who thinks that true happiness originates from inside and may be expressed via music. "Anything you hear," he says, "makes you happy," a phrase he describes as the heartbeat of his life and work.
DJ Euphorique, a State House spin master and member of the Permanent Presidential Music Commission (PPMC), hails from Kisii County. His career has not been simple. He was only 16 years old when he was diagnosed with a life-altering disease that affected his bones and joints. This revelation made his parents undoubtedly worried.
However, with the unwavering support from his family, particularly his father, whom he cherishes, especially during this month of fathers, he navigated this challenging path. "I appreciate them for helping me walk through this journey," he shares.
His experience led him to a profound realization: "Disability is a club anybody can join."
