Raila, Karua Promise To Maintain Respect While In Office

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua, Tuesday had a joint live television interview with journalists from different media houses.

The duo, during the interview, talked about a number of issues affecting the country ahead of the August 9 General Election.

They said, should they clinch power they will run the government jointly with no drama as witnessed in the jubilee government.

Odinga while referring to the latest public critics by Dp William Ruto on the fallout of the Jubilee government said, his government will conduct itself in a way that will maintain the respect of the office and demonstrate respect to the people of Kenya.

The President and his deputy have blamed each other publicly for the failed agendas, according to the DP, the handshake between the president and the ODM chief has hindered the Jubilee administration from delivering services.

President Kenyata on the other hand, blames Ruto for absconding office and engaging in early campaigns.

Martha Karua also faulted DP Ruto’s constant criticism of the government saying that, he should also take the blame for whatever the Jubilee government has not achieved.

Regards to the Presidential debate set for July, the duo said they are ready for the debate, adding that it will offer them a platform to sell their agenda to Kenyans before the big day.

Although the ODM chief said his attendance will be determined by other presidential candidates.

Deputy president had earlier said he wont attend the debate claiming that the houses to conduct the debate are biased.
