The Ministry of Defense has announced a 24-hour delay of the Taifa-1 satellite launch.

In a press release statement from the Ministry of Defense, the Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, SpaceX,  announced a 24-hour delay for the launch of the Falcon 9 Transporter 7 mission which was  scheduled for Tuesday 11th April 2023 at 9:44 am (Monday 10th April at 11:44 pm Pacific Time)

This delay has been prompted by unfavorable upper-level wind conditions that would affect the rocket’s flight trajectory.

The delay consequently affects the anticipated launch of Kenya’s Taifa-1 Satellite, alongside other satellites from other countries on the same Transporter 7 Rideshare Mission.

The launch is now expected to take place on Wednesday 12th April 2023 at 9:44 am.
