Former President Mwai Kibaki’s body has been taken to the Parliament for three days of state viewing.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is leading Kenyans and visiting dignitaries in viewing the body alongside First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
Mzee Kibaki’s body will be viewed from 8 am to 5 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and thereafter the military gun carriage and State Funeral Procession will make their way from State House to the Nyayo Stadium, on Friday.
The National State Funeral Memorial Service will be led by the Catholic Church.
State Funeral Steering Committee has declared Friday, 29th April 2022 a Public Holiday of general observance to enable every Kenyan, to participate in the celebration of the life of the Third President.
