Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition now says it will hold anti-government protests for three consecutive days next week - Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

“Going forward, the peaceful protests will now be held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday next week, in line with requests from the public to include three days of activity. Let's meet on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday,” states the statement.

According to the faction in a statement issued on Friday, the review was due to demand from the public, they had earlier scheduled the protests for Wednesday.

Azimio allies have accused the government of failing to address the high cost of living and other economic challenges facing Kenyans.

However, the government has warned the outfit following the outcome of the Wednesday protests where violence and looting of property were witnessed in different parts of the country.

While hitting out on former President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga as the organizers of the chaotic protests, the Head of state has maintained that he will not be vowed adding that he will however not stand by and witness the opposition faction fuel anarchy across the country.

The former Premier on the other hand continues to defend the protests noting that that they are a legitimate way for Kenyans to express their frustration with the government.

He said that the protests would continue until the government addressed the concerns of Kenyans.
