4th October, marks the World Animal Welfare day that is celebrated annually with an aim of ensuring better standards for the animal welfare.

The important day and has been observed since 1925, with the growing community striving to end the suffering of all animals.

First Celebrated in 1925 berlin, Germany, the day is significant because it not only educates people about the most endangered species but also teaches on how to rescue them.

The theme for World Animal Welfare Day 2022 is a “shared planet” which highlights that the world belongs to every living creature and not just humans.

On this day, animal rights activists endeavor to address the plight of animals, both wild and domestic, and initiate better efforts towards their protection and conservation.

The World Animal Welfare Day plays a very significant role in the nation. It reinforces the fact that animals are a part of Nature just as anyone else.

Animals play a vital role in environmental protection and human wellness. Some help us in transportation, some provide meals and skins, while others accelerate the decomposition process.

Consequently, humans should strive to ensure that the welfare of animals is looked into and their standards well maintained.

As a way of commemorating this day, people can donate to an animal charity such as the World Wildlife Fund, or any other local animal shelter.

Moreover, they can also volunteer at local animal shelters or sanctuaries and educate themselves on safer ways to care for animals.
