Nairobi Gubernatorial aspirant Sakaja Johnson has dismissed claims against his academic qualifications terming them as unworthy, reckless, and abuse of legal process.
“The personalized vendetta and smear campaign against me by the Complainants is unworthy of response, save to point out that the same is absolutely reckless and in absolute abuse of legal process,” he said.
The Nairobi Senator maintains that he holds a Bachelor of Science in Management degree from the Team University of Uganda.
In an affidavit, Sakaja says the complainants left out a page with his name on the graduation list of the university.
“The complainants have fraudulently omitted relevant pages of the graduation booklet that bear my graduation credentials,” Sakaja said.
He further argued that Team University is duly recognized in the Republic of Uganda and by convention in Kenya, hence his qualifications and academic credentials are not in doubt.
In regards to the name Johnson Koskei Sakaja, he said he doesn’t recognize the name or a person with such a name.
“The person cited as the 1st Respondent in Complaint No. 230 of 2022, one “SAKAJA KOSKEI JOHNSON” is a complete stranger to the election for the position of Governor, Nairobi City County,” Sakaja said.
The Nairobi gubernatorial hopeful said the complainants also filed the claims outside the legal time frame because he was cleared by the IEBC on June 7, 2022, and the claims were filed on June 9, 2022.
