No Holiday for the Administration Officers
President Uhuru Kenyatta has issued a directive for the security agents and National government Administration Officers to cancel their December leaves.
The directive was conveyed on Wednesday by Interior Secretary Fred Matiang'i where the officers include county commissioners, chiefs, and their assistants, the CS said they should ensure peace prevails during this Christmas period.
The CS Speaking in Kikurro, Kajiado County during the installation of Senior Principal Chief Roika ole Shira, he stated that he is not exempted from the order issued by the Head of State in his capacity as Chairman of the National Security Council.
The CS further urged security forces and Kenyans to be vigilant during the festive period owing to ongoing political chaos being witnessed in neighboring Ethiopia, Somalia and the general Horn of Africa region.
