Caregivers In Kericho Trained To Support Children With Disabilities

Dozens of caregivers in Kericho County have received specialized training to enhance care for children with autism and cerebral palsy.
The initiative, spearheaded by a local community-based organization in collaboration with BethanyKids, is equipping parents and guardians with essential skills such as basic nursing, first aid, emotional support, and home-based educational techniques.
Organizers say the program aims to bridge a critical gap in special needs care by empowering families with practical knowledge to improve the lives of children with disabilities. The training also offered a platform for caregivers to share experiences and build support networks within their communities.
