Chief Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Mudavadi has urged the media to stop irresponsible reporting.

Speaking on Sunday during a church service at William Ole Ntimama, Mudavadi said the elections were over and it was time they stopped putting the country in a political mood through their reporting.

“Don’t take us backward as a country, encourage people to move forward in your reporting,” he advised, adding “if you do not want to believe that President Ruto is the president, that’s your wish but it’s not the reality. The reality is that the President of Kenya is Dr. William Ruto,” he continued.

Mudavadi told off the opposition leader Raila Odinga for pushing for changes in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Act 2022 signed into law by President Ruto saying the opposition dug its own grave when they led this country in the last regime.

He further urged President William Ruto to stay put and not to be destructed by the happenings being propagated by the Azimio Raila Odinga.

“Mr President, being our captain keep your eye on the ball. As your foot soldiers we will support you fully in the quest to move Kenya to the next level of economic prosperity.  We will walk with you and stick to our agenda of resuscitating the economy for it to work for all Kenyans.” said Mudavadi.

The thanksgiving service was led by Bishop Jackson Solonka of Free Pentecostal Churches of Kenya and attended by President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua among hundreds of spiritual leaders in Narok.

Other leaders present were governors Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), Dr. Hillary Barchok (Bomet) and his Kajiado counterpart Joseph Ole Lenku as well as cabinet secretaries Soipan Tuya and Ezekiel Machogu.
