Migori governor Dr Ochillo Ayacko now says he was not aware of President William Ruto’s visit to the county.

According Governor Ayako, there has been no official communication from the office of the president and the organizers.

Ayacko who was speaking at the county’s statehouse says that the news about President William Ruto’s visit is all rumours from hearsay.

Concurrently, the governor noted that he is not aware of where exactly the president will visit in the county, hence he is left with no option but to give it a wide bath.
Governor Ayacko also cited that should he attend the event, as a non-invited guest, he risks shaming the county by bringing unnecessary discord among the invited attendees.

Although the governor questioned the president’s visit to launch projects in his region without including him, stating that he knows best what the county need and his inclusion will benefit the common man.

When the President visited Homabay county and launched the housing project, Migori governor was among the attendees something he terms as a friendly invitation extended to him by governor Gladys Wanga, other than in his capacity as a Migori county governor.

However, he welcomes the president to the county regardless of where he will visit, noting that the president is free to visit anywhere in this country and he hopes the visit lower the cost of living and it will uplift the Migori people.
