Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday said he will give a political statement within two days’ time on his next political move.

“I shall declare my stand on the presidency. This time round I shall make the final decision”, he said.

Kalonzo, while addressing mourners at the burial of former diplomat Joseph Katithi in Kyawango village in Mwala, Machakos County on Wednesday, delivered condolence messages from President Kenyatta, Former Premier Odinga, Ms. Karua, and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi, which gave a clear indication of his intentions to rejoin the Azimio-One Kenya Coalition.

“I should have been here earlier but I first attended the Madaraka Day celebrations where I was sitting next to Martha Karua. She does not know this place but has asked me to deliver her tributes. President Kenyatta also sent his tributes. And as I was walking out, my brother Raila saw me; he also sent his greetings. Gideon Moi has also sent his greetings,” Mr. Musyoka said.

Musyoka ditched the coalition immediately after the Presidential Flagbearer, Raila Odinga named Honorable Martha Karua as his running mate, since then he has been under pressure from his party allies to rejoin the team.

The former Vice President noted that the political decision he will make will be in the interest of the Kamba community hence calling upon political leaders in the region to back him up.

He further urged his supporters to elect Wiper party aspirants in the August elections so as his presence in the next government be meaningful.
