The Opposition party on Tuesday accused the Kenya Kwanza government of sabotage after they released their team for the bipartisan talks.  Azimio la Umoja rejected some of the legislators picked by Kenya Kwanza to represent it.

Earlier on Tuesday, Kenya Kwanza announced a seven-member team comprised of four MPs and three Senators. They include Boni Khalwale (Kakamega Senator), George Murugara (MP Tharaka), Esther Okenyuri (Nominated Senator), Mwangi Mutuse (MP Kibwezi West), Lydia Haika (Women Rep Taita Taveta), Hillary Sigei (Senator Bomet) and Adan Keynan  MP Eldas.

Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi alleged President William Ruto’s bipartisan team was selected to sabotage the peace talks.

Wandayi expressed his surprise on seeing Adan Keynan on the list, considering he is a member of the Jubilee Party, which is part of the  Azimio Coalition.

He continued to note that Ruto had appointed Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse of Maendeleo Chap Chap, also a member of Azimio, although its leader Alfred Mutua ditched Azimio to join Ruto.

Speaking in Parliament, Wandayi stated that the Kenya Kwanza coalition was already kicking off the bipartisan talk on a wrong footing that would eventually lead to a stalemate.
