In a historic announcement during Jamhuri Day celebrations, President William Ruto declared that Kenya will become a visa-free country for all visitors by the beginning of 2024.

“ It is with great pleasure, as President of this extraordinary country, to make a historic announcement of the decision of the Government of Kenya. Beginning January 2024, Kenya will be a visa-free country” he announced.

“To echo the call of the Turkana people to the world: “Tobong’u Lorre!” Kenya has a simple message to humanity: Welcome Home! This is why, the government has abolished the requirement of visas for all our visitors,” he added.

This momentous decision marks a significant shift in Kenya’s immigration policies, aiming to foster greater global connections and attract visitors from around the world.

To ensure a smooth and secure implementation of this new policy, the government has developed a new digital platform.

This platform will facilitate the pre-registration of all travelers, allowing for their identification and efficient processing upon arrival.
