Mid-term break for secondary schools

The Ministry of Education has announced mid-term breaks for all secondary schools across the country.

In a statement by Education PS Julius Jwan yesterday, the mid-term break will commence on Friday 19^th November 2021 and resume on Tuesday 23^rd November.

The Education Ministry had initially scrapped the half breaks in the new school calendar to ensure learners recover the lost period occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The announcement by PS Jwan comes after unrests were reported in several schools, inferno attacks.

Meanwhile, Central Regional Commissioner Wilfred Nyagwanga has launched a multi-agency committee to investigate the ongoing school unrest in the region.
