Fashion Hack Tips For Unpredictable Weather
In Nairobi, the phrase unpredictable as the weather applies a little too often than any other place.
The mornings are warm and sunny these days, and when they are not, they are cold with no possible sight of even the sun's light. But the morning weather should never fool you into thinking that the day will end with the same temperatures.
Does this necessarily mean that you should carry an extra outfit and change up maybe at the office washrooms when the changes happen? No, this calls for a free fashion hack that every person needs.
The easiest and most essential hack is the art of layering. Layering is a way of dressing using many garments that are worn on top of each other.
Using more or fewer layers, or replacing one layer but not others, allows for flexible clothing to match the needs of each situation. To understand layering your clothing for outdoor activities, you need to know the function of each layer.
Base layer (underwear layer): wicks sweat off your skin. The middle layer (insulating layer): retains body heat to protect you from the cold. The outer layer (shell layer): shields you from wind and rain.
For example, in cold morning weather, layers work best since when the sun comes out, you can easily remove their shell layer and remain with lighter clothing for the warm weather.
Another important fashion hack is always being 'treaded'. Is that a real word? Most definitely no. But according to fashion influencers and advisors, being treaded is always having shoes that have treads.
This is quite helpful ,especially when it has rained or it might rain. This is because the primary goal of treads is to create smooth contact with the ground in order to provide maximum grip and stability.
Having shoes with treads ,will save you from embarrassing moments like sliding when walking in the rain or mud and falling down.
These are only two hacks among others like having your important possessions in a waterproof bag and even always carrying an umbrella ,preferably one that's not bulky.
