Safaricom Unveils Time-based Data Bundles

Safaricom has unveiled B-Live, a bold new campaign designed to redefine how Kenyans experience the internet. The new bundle is an industry first, offering customers access to the internet based on time, not megabytes.
This innovation marks a bold shift from traditional data bundles, giving Kenyans the freedom to stream their favorite music, create content, catch up on classes, connect with friends, or hustle for opportunities, without the constant worry of running out of data.
“B-Live is about putting the power back in the hands of our customers. We aim to shift the conversation from data (MBs/GBs) to time-based freedom reinforcing our commitment as an enabler of Kenya’s digital lifestyle, especially among youth, creators, and hustlers without worrying about how much data they have left, they can now focus on what they want to do online,” said Safaricom’s CEO Peter Ndegwa.
Designed with everyday realities in mind, B-Live is tailored to meet the needs of Kenya’s mobile-first population, from young creators and students to entrepreneurs and professionals on the go.
With B-Live, Safaricom continues to lead the way in customer-focused innovation, reshaping the role of mobile data in the daily lives of millions.
B-Live Data bundle is available via *544# or *555#, offering a range of hourly bundles. Customers can access 1 hour for KES 20, 3 hours for KES 50, and 6 hours for KES 150. This makes it easier for more Kenyans to access and enjoy digital content without worrying about data depletion or confusing usage limits.
