Manchester City Crush Manchester United 3-0 In Derby Showdown

Manchester City delivered a commanding performance to secure a 3-0 victory over rivals Manchester United in the Premier League derby on Sunday. Phil Foden opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a header from a Jeremy Doku cross, before Erling Haaland struck twice in the second half to seal a comprehensive win for Pep Guardiola’s side.

The champions dominated key moments of the game, with Doku proving a constant threat down the wing and providing two assists. Haaland’s first came in the 53rd minute after shrugging off Lenny Yoro, while his second, in the 68th, saw him outpace Harry Maguire to slot home after United surrendered possession cheaply. City’s defensive unit also stood firm, restricting United to half-chances and ensuring a clean sheet.

For Manchester United, the afternoon exposed worrying weaknesses. Defensive lapses, lack of sharpness in attack, and poor reactions after conceding early left Erik ten Hag’s men chasing shadows. United enjoyed spells of possession but failed to trouble Ederson meaningfully. The defeat not only dented their morale but also underlined the gap in quality and confidence between the two Manchester clubs.
