Raila's Lawyers: "The Election was A product Of Craftiness By IEBC And Dp Ruto"

The lawyers representing Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Presidential candidate Raila Odinga, on Wednesday during their submission before the seven-bench judges termed the August 2022 election a product of craftiness by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission and President-elect William Ruto.

The lawyers led by Philip Murgor said Ruto's win was technologically decided way before tallying and verification of the final results.

The team further pointed out that there is evidence of downloading and uploading of Forms 34As at the IEBC portal by known and unknown individuals.

Lawyers, James Orengo and Julie Soweto also told the court that votes were manipulated in some polling stations to ensure Ruto wins the elections.

The manipulation exercise, they say, happened mostly in Ruto's strongholds such as Kiambu and Bomet.

They questioned why presidential votes from some regions such as Central Kenya and Rift Valley were more than other elective seats.

The arrest of three Venezuelans at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) two weeks before the election was also mentioned as one way IEBC servers were accessed and compromised.

The lawyers say the malicious activities if well investigated and scrutinized have the potential of changing the election outcome.
