Pato Banton, the artist known for his popular track ‘Go Pato,’ has broken his silence following a widely circulated video of an incident that occurred during his performance in Eldoret. Speaking to journalists in Kibera, Pato addressed the issue and offered an explanation for the minor altercation.

The video depicted one of Pato’s band members being harassed, leading to criticism from viewers who deemed such behavior inappropriate. During an interview on July 5, Pato recounted the incident and shed light on the circumstances surrounding it.

He explained that they found themselves in a confrontation with the event’s bouncers, who were attempting to forcibly seize their keyboard.

Pato disclosed that the concert organizer had failed to meet their financial obligations regarding the sound system and stage. Consequently, the bouncers were instructed to take possession of the keyboard as a form of compensation. However, things took a positive turn when five girls who were present at the Eldoret concert actively assisted in reclaiming the keyboard, ultimately succeeding in retrieving it.

In a gesture of gratitude, Pato arranged a special private performance for the girls from Eldoret. Additionally, they all had a memorable after-party in his hotel room, where they enjoyed themselves to the fullest.
