Mombasa County Commissioner Urges Cooperation in Government Projects
Civil servants in Mombasa have received a call to collaborate closely in executing the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) introduced by the national government.
Addressing the inaugural meeting of the National Government Development - Mombasa County Implementation Coordination and Management Committee (NGD-CICMC), County Commissioner Abdirisack Jaldesa, who also chairs the committee, stressed the significance of unity in achieving remarkable results for Mombasa.
Jaldesa emphasized that the implementation of government projects requires teamwork and the free flow of information among officers.
The County Commissioner highlighted the importance of adhering to the Constitution's principle of public participation before initiating projects or programs to prevent potential legal disputes that could hinder project kick-offs.
Committee members, comprising Heads of Departments (HODs), were advised to utilize the NGD-CICMC platform for resolving inter-agency disputes related to development projects.
This approach aims to avoid delays in project implementation due to disagreements.
