Magoha: KCPE, KCSE Examinations To Kick Off On November 28

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will administer the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national examinations on November 28 according to the outgoing education Cabinet secretary Prof. George Magoha.

The CS announced Monday at the Kerugoya Catholic Church grounds in Kirinyaga during the post-World Teachers Day celebrations.

According to the KNEC schedule, KCPE rehearsals will be conducted on November 25, 2022, with the exams officially beginning on November 28 and ending on November 30, 2022.

KCSE will be rehearsed on November 18, and kick off between November 21 and December 23, 2022.

Professor Magoha assured candidates that the exams would be done on time so that marking could be completed in December and results be released by January 23 next year.

The CS has appealed to the team that will take part in the marking to cooperate assuring them of a prompt payment after their work.

Regarding the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), Magoha lauded President William Ruto for establishing a team to review the education system.

The education boss noted that the government has invested a lot of resources in the curriculum revealing that 10,000 CBC classrooms have so far been constructed nationally.

The CS further urged the government to release the funds meant for the CBC projects so that contractors can be paid.
