The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) are set to formalize a partnership aimed at advancing disability inclusion and social responsibility.
During a courtesy call to KISE Director Dr. Norman Kiogora, ICPAK Director Rose Tenderet and her team explored several key areas of collaboration. The discussions focused on training ICPAK members in Kenyan Sign Language (KSL) and Braille to improve communication and service delivery to individuals with disabilities.
The two institutions also agreed to launch joint outreach programs to serve communities, with a focus on disability inclusion. ICPAK has pledged its support for KISE events, including the upcoming International Day of the Deaf on September 26, where it will help champion the rights and needs of the deaf community.
Additionally, the partnership will extend to environmental sustainability through joint tree-planting initiatives. Both organizations are committed to formalizing the collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to solidify their shared vision of an inclusive society.
