Kenya Kwanza has nominated Saku MP Dido Rasso to step into Keynan’s shoes in the bipartisan talks committee.

This came after Azimio, in a letter to the Kenya Kwanza, announced that it was willing to suspend its planned Thursday anti-government demonstrations if they accepted its demand on Keynan.

Bipartisan talks are now set to resume as Azimio One Kenya also suspended anti-government protests, however, warned that they will not delay taking back to the streets if the goodwill that has been extended by Kenya Kwanza is taken back.

The Azimio la Umoja Coalition committee said that they have summoned their seven-member delegation to the bipartisan committee for fresh instructions to further enlighten the engagement with the Kenya Kwanza side rather than holding the protests.

According to the opposition led by Rila Odinga, Keynan was legally associated with the opposition because of his ties with the jubilee party whose ticket he used to run for election.

Taking notice of Azimio’s demands, Kenya Kwanza, which had defended its choice of Keynan earlier, on Wednesday evening in a press statement, announced that it had plighted the lawmaker who had agreed to step back from the negotiations.

Azimio’s demands in the bipartisan talks are for the ruling party to lower the cost of living and give access to the IEBC servers for the authentication of the August 2022 presidential election.
