Gov’t Plans To Vaccinate 27,246,033 People

The Ministry of Health now says a total of 9,367,793 adults have been fully vaccinated against covid 19 virus while 2,290,456 have been partially vaccinated.

According to MOH, Nairobi and Nyeri are the counties with the most fully vaccinated people with 52.1 and 53.5 percent of the residents respectively.

Kisumu county comes third with 4.5 percent of the total population of 291,849, followed by Kakamega County with 44.1 percent of the total population of 433,435 people.

Further, the ministry of health’s report shows that; Siaya has (44.0%), Nyamira (41.4%), Nakuru (40.5%), Laikipia (40.0%), and Migori (39.5%), Taita Taveta (38.7%), Homa Bay (38.4%), Kirinyaga (38.0%), and Murang’a (37.5%).

Trans Nzoia follows 36.8%, Kiambu 36.6%, Kisii 36.3%, Machakos 35.5%, Uasin Gishu 34.8%, Kajiado 34.7%, Vihiga 34.6%, Tharaka Nithi 35.5%, Busia 34.4 and Mombasa 34.1%.

The last ranked include Tana River, Marsabit, and Mandera counties with 11.0%, 10.5%, and 10.4%, respectively.

The ministry is now targeting to vaccinate a population of 27,246,033.
