Kenya Receives Additional AstraZeneca covid 19 vaccine
Kenya has received 1,462,400 doses of AstraZeneca to boost the ongoing accelerated Covid-19 vaccination exercise in the country.
The latest shipment brought the number of doses received in the country to 14,120,000 which was a donation from development partners with Denmark donating 266,400, Belgium 445,300 while 750, 7000 doses were received from the Netherlands.
As of November 29th, 2021, a total of 7,063,927 vaccines had so far been administered across the country, the Government is working towards vaccinating a targeted population of 27,246,033.
The positivity rate in Kenya now stands at 2.2% with 109 people testing positive on Tuesday from a sample size of 4,994 tested in the last 24 hours.
