<strong>Female Lawyer In Trouble With Employer For Using The Name ‘Baby Boy'</strong>
A female lawyer is fighting for her job in court after being sacked for calling a junior male colleague ‘baby boy’.
The woman, whose name was withheld for legal reasons, was sacked by Kituo cha Sheria after a male employee complained of sexual harassment for allegedly being referred to as “baby boy”.
She also used to refer to the unidentified man as “boy lollipop”, a nickname she used without consent.
A disciplinary committee found that the lady’s management style was characterized by micro-managing of staff and favouritism.
The lady however claims she was unfairly terminated without being given an opportunity to be heard, and the correct procedure was not followed.
This shines the light on male assault especially in the workplace, and further encourages men to speak up.
