Premier League Fans were treated to a Premier League classic, as Chelsea and Liverpool shared points in a 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool scored an early goal through Sadio Mane, who escaped a first-minute red card for an elbow on Cesar Azpilicueta, before Mohamed Salah doubled the lead inside opening 26 minutes.

But Chelsea, who played without record signing Lukaku, produced a spirited comeback in the space of four first-half minutes as Mateo Kovacic’s spectacular goal and Christian Pulisic’s brilliant goal from a counter attack levelled the game just before half-time.

The two could have produced even more goals but inspired saves from Caoimhin Kelleher and Edouard Mendy ensured the match ended in a draw.

The result means Chelsea remain second, 10 points behind leaders Manchester City, and a point and a place ahead of third-place Liverpool, who have played a game fewer than their title rivals.
