Ghana’s hopes for African Cup of Nations glory were dashed on Tuesday after a late comeback by Mozambique snatched a 2-2 draw.

Ghana held the lead throughout the match, but the Mambas roared back in the last minutes to secure a point and send the Black Stars crashing out of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the other Group B clash between Egypt and Cape Verde also ended in a 2-2 stalemate, leaving Cape Verde at the top table with seven points. Egypt follows with three points, while Ghana’s draw leaves them languishing in third, with Mozambique at the bottom.

Eight teams will be in action today and play to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Namibia will play Mali while South Africa faces Tunisia.

Tanzania will play their East African Community counterparts DR Congo while Zambia faces Morocco.
