Tusker FC completed a league double over KCB after winning 2-0 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday, moving to third place in the FKF Premier League standings.

Second half goals courtesy of Chris Erambo and John Njuguna were enough to give Tusker the three points and further reduce the gap between them and leaders Gor Mahia.

The 12-time champions have 37 points, 10 behind Gor Mahia but share the same number of points with Kenya Police FC, Bandari and Nairobi City Stars, separated only on goal difference.

-Bankers falling out of favor?-

The bankers -yet to win any game this year- continued to put a dismal performance and chose on a cautious approach from the start, against a side that hit them for five just last month.

Stephen Etyang and Shadrack Simiyu produced moments of magic but failed to get past a tight and well orchestrated Tusker back line.

KCB currently sitting tenth on the log, are in action against new boys Murang’a Seal and Shabana respectively in their FKF premier league action, fixtures they may look to capitalize and get back to winning ways.
