Sheffield United beat West Brom 2-0 at Bramall Lane to earn promotion back to the Premier League after two years in the Championship.

The Blades had a sluggish start to the game but picked up the pace in the second half, with Sander Berge and Anel Ahmedhodzic finding the target to secure a spot for Sheffield.

Norway international Berge put Sheffield ahead after they capitalised on an under-hit back pass from Taylor Gardner while Anel Ahmedhodzic scored with a controlled close range volley to seal victory with 15 minutes to play.

The Blades, who went into the game needing just three points from four games to secure promotion, will join title winners Burnley in the Premier League next season.

Their 26th league win of the season takes them seven points clear of third-placed Luton who only have two fixtures left.

West Brom, remain two points outside the top six with matches against play-off rivals Norwich and Swansea to finish the Championship league.
