Ruto promises fast investigations into the slain priest case

President William Ruto has sent a message of condolence to the faithful of St. Matthias Mulumba Tot Parish and the Diocese of Eldoret following the brutal killing of Father Allois Cheruiyot Bett in the troubled Kerio Valley region.
In his statement, the President described Father Allois as a tireless advocate of peace and a true shepherd of faith whose sermons were “genuine, clear, and targeted.” The late priest was well known in the region for his efforts to mediate peace and guide communities through turbulent times.
President Ruto extended heartfelt sympathies to the church, the bereaved family, and all who knew the slain priest. “May God grant the family and friends strength to bear this painful death,” he stated.
Assuring swift action, the President vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice. “We will hunt down his killers as we commit to restore peace in the Kerio Valley,” he said.
Father Allois’ death marks yet another tragic loss in the region plagued by banditry.
