Medic East Africa and Medlab East Africa have launched a regional healthcare exhibition and congress at Nairobi’s Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), scheduled to run until Friday. Anticipating over 5,000 attendees, including government officials, healthcare experts, and global investors, this highly anticipated three-day event will showcase the latest healthcare and lab innovations. Simultaneously, the expo will host a series of CPD-accredited conferences, freely accessible to healthcare and lab professionals from East Africa.

Tom Coleman, Exhibition Director at Informa Markets, expressed that the increased international pavilions provide an ideal platform for East Africa’s healthcare industry to establish global relationships. Renowned brands like Siemens, United Imaging, Mindray, and Snibe, among others, are among the first-time exhibitors at this event.

Prominent companies participating in the exhibition include Al Fahim Healthcare Solutions LLC, Siemens Healthineers, Leader Healthcare, Crown Healthcare, Shenzhen New Industries Biomedical Engineering Company Ltd (Snibe) from China, and Mindray and United Imaging, among others.

Coleman noted that this exhibition will enable healthcare stakeholders to chart the best course of action for delivering high-quality healthcare across East Africa. The accompanying conferences will address pressing issues and propose solutions.

Countries represented at the conference include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Pakistan, and India, among others. The second day of the conference will feature a Leaders Summit focused on Kenya’s potential and global healthcare innovation.

With an eye toward the future, this platform aims to strengthen its presence in Kenya and spotlight the country’s strategic initiatives to enhance the regional healthcare sector. Medic East Africa is increasingly emphasizing sustainability to improve its environmental, social, and economic impact in the region. The organizers have taken additional steps, including the use of electric buses for transportation, sustainable building materials, and encouraging exhibitors to shift away from disposable stands.

The exhibition promises to be a transformative event, bringing together the brightest healthcare minds to drive innovation and progress in the region. It serves as a platform for thought-provoking conversations on a wide range of healthcare topics, making it highly recommended for anyone with an interest in healthcare, East Africa, or global health issues to participate over the next two days.
