ODM Party Primaries
ODM grassroots leaders from Mombasa County, led by Mikindani Member of the County Assembly, Juma Thoya, are urging their ODM Party leader, Raila Odinga to ensure no aspirants will be favored during the party’s primaries.
The leaders raised their fear noting that, some leaders who are influential might be given direct tickets without using the right procedure hence Thoya called upon the Mombasa ODM secretariat office to make sure all grassroots nominations are free and fair to accommodate all ODM aspirants.
The MCA while speaking to residents of Bangladesh in Mikindani informal settlement during an ODM grass-root recruitment drive and party popularization, he advised that merit certificates should be given to candidates who deserve it if they want the party to maintain its status quo in the region.
