President William Ruto is set to visit Migori county on Thursday 24th of this month.
The head of state’s visit will see him launch various projects in the region including road projects.
Speaking at his home, Uriri Member of Parliament Mark Nyamitta who shared details of the president’s visit to the region, downplayed the demonstrations planned by the Azmio One Kenya leader Raila Odinga stating that their main focus is preparing to welcome the President.
Nyamitta who has come under fire with other sections of ODM leaders from the region for visiting the state house defended his visit to be development-oriented and is one of the main reasons the president is visiting the region.
The legislature castigated demonstration calls, as he say they are only aiming to make destruction of properties and disrupt normal business operations across the country as common man is hurting.
A while ago, youths and bodaboda riders had distanced themselves from the demonstrations saying they respect the former premier and ODM boss Raila Odinga but request him to give them another alternative which is not through demonstrations.
