The National Super League title goes down to the wire this weekend as League Leaders Shabana FC and Murang’a seals battle it out on the last day of the 2022/23 Football Kenya Federation (FKF)National Super League season.

Both outfits already secured promotion to the FKF Kenya Premier League but hunt the coveted cup with Shabana boasting a two-point advantage ahead of Seals.

Tore Bobe take on Kisumu All Stars FC at their home side Gusii Stadium while Murang’a seals face Gusii FC at the Awendo Green Stadium less than 60km away.

Shabana FC patron Sam Nyamweya called out Gusii leaders to put aside their political affiliation and support the team as well as loyal Tore Bobe’s fans to come out in large numbers.

“Saturday, July 8, will be a great day for Shabana. The club that was once a giant in Kenyan football will be gunning to win the NSL title at the Gusii Stadium when we play Kisumu All Stars,” Nyamweya said in a signed statement.

He added: “Though Shabana has already earned promotion to the top flight, the match on Saturday will be very important because it will climax a season that the players and the technical staff have given their best to take this great club from the Gusii community back to the top flight league and they will be gunning to ice this achievement by winning the title.”

Murang’a Seals already made a statement and proved to be a force to reckon with after dominating the field of play and edging out Shabana FC 2-1 at St. Sebastian Park on Sunday last week.
