Shabana FC part ways with Coach Sammy Okoth
FKF Premier League newbies Shabana FC have parted ways with head coach Sammy Okoth and goalkeeper trainer Collins Oduor after a run of poor results since the season started.
Tore Bobe have recorded a single win that surprisingly came against Tusker FC, four draws and five losses so far in ten league games.
Coach Okoth had earlier announced he was stepping down from the team after their loss to Ulinzi Stars two weeks ago, but held onto his position till the humbling defeat to Gor Mahia and Bandari FC.
“As a club, we deeply value and appreciate the significant contributions and unwavering dedication they have exhibited throughout their tenure with our organization. We extend our heartfelt best wishes for their future endeavors,” Shabana said in a statement.
Okoth becomes the fifth coach in the FKF Premier League to be sent home after Francis Baraza (Police FC), Tom Juma (AFC Leopards), Francis Harigingo (Sofapaka) and Twahir Muhiddin (Bandari).
Shabana will now actively search for a coach, with Oscar Kambona asked to step in on the interim.
Tore Bobe are in action against Nzoia Sugar this Saturday.
