No Vaccination Certificate, No Service
Government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna has said, you will not be able to access government services without a Covid-19 certificate.
Speaking yesterday during a sensitization exercise on road safety, in Mau Summit, Nakuru County, Oguna said that the government is working hard to safeguard all Kenyans.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe had issued a directive up to December 21st for Kenyans to get vaccinated and produce a Covid-19 certificate before accessing government facilities.
Oguna said without the certificate, Kenyans will need to make a phone call to get government services as the CS for Health had indicated earlier.
Oguna mentioned his own experience where he was hospitalized with severe illness when he contracted Covid-19 last year and has not yet regained his sense of smell.
He also urged Kenyans to follow laid down rules by the Ministry of Health of wearing face masks, observing social distance, and washing hands.
This comes as the number of those who have been infected with the virus has continued to rise steadily
This has mainly been attributed to the new variant Omicron which the Ministry of Health has raised concerns over.
Oguna said the National Emergency Response Committee on Covid-19 will meet and deliberate on the way forward.
