More than 6, 000 Murang’a residents from six sub-counties have registered with the local county government seeking help to solve land succession cases.

The county administration from last month has been registering residents who have land succession cases so as to help them solve the disputes out of court.

Speaking at Ihura stadium Muranga, Governor Mwangi wa Iria has said, the partnership is geared towards helping more than 20, 000 residents to fast-track solving the land disputes which have affected especially poor families.

He noted that there are many successful cases in court that affected families could not solve due to some issues ranging from lack of needed legal fees and lawyers.
