New Institution Launched In Nyamira, Kisii County
Establishment of a technical and vocational college in Nyamira South sub county signifies the importance attached by the national government to technical skills in youths whose numbers were increasing.
West Mugirango Technical and Vocal College was poised to enroll and train youths who had dropped out of school or had completed non-technical studies.
Area legislator Steve Mogaka,hinted the college had the potential to raise engineers in various fields and challenged the parents to register their students with the institution.
He also petitioned the national government to equip the college adequately to facilitate the training from the onset.
The MP advised university and college graduates to consider obtaining the necessary skills relevant in the job market.
Resident parents James Otao and Ondieki thanked the government for launching the college and urged others to increase its student population for future benefits.
