Manchester United came from behind to beat Barcelona 2-1 and 4-3 on aggregate to win their Europa League play-off at Old Trafford.

Barcelona got the lead through Robert Lewandowski’s early penalty in the first half but it was not enough to keep United from coming back.

Manchester United however responded in the second half with two great goals from Fred and Substitute Anthony dos Santos.

Erik ten Hag described his team’s victory as his biggest win as the club’s manager, adding the personality of his players to come from behind was much needed.

“I think so, yes. We’ve had some good wins – Liverpool and Arsenal at home.

“I think this, over two legs, against Barcelona – leaders in LaLiga, eight points ahead of Real Madrid. We have all seen Real Madrid this week.

“So if you can beat them, then yes, this is my biggest win.”

It was a huge win for Erik Ten hag’s side as they go into Sunday’s Carabao Cup final still chasing glory in four different competitions.

Rashford injury?

Substituted at the 88th minute in the 2-1 emphatic win over the Catalans, the in-form England striker was seen limping off in what signalled as he could have picked up a knock.

Rashford has been in superb form under Ten Hag, scoring 24 goals and grabbing nine assists in 37 appearances.

The Mancunian shared a worrying Instagram story post showing him leaving the pitch at Old Trafford accompanied by an injured emoji, suggesting he might have been caught.
