A fifty-year man was hacked to death by his siblings over a land dispute at Bokimweri village, Mokwerero ward in Sameta sub-county.

Christopher Ayora, a civil engineer, was attacked allegedly by his brothers and cousins who accosted him at his farm.

He was pursued by the assailants to the neighbor’s house where he sought refugee who severed his limbs, back, and head, killing him on the spot.

The deceased family had been violently displaced from the farm in 2020 where their property including houses and livestock was destroyed.

A son to the deceased Josephat Nyaanga, who stayed at Kilgoris in Transmara, Narok County narrated how his father was brutally killed.

He alleged the perpetrators of the murder could have committed the crime to conceal evidence over the dispute since there was a case pending in court.

Another son Okigo Nyaanga, traced the land dispute to 2020 when the attackers evicted the family from the farms injuring their father.

The family members were dispersed to various destinations where they lived before the fateful day of their father.

He called for justice to be served even when they planned to burry the fallen father.

Tiberius Nyaanga, another son who is a student, decried the suffering they had been subjected to and petitioned president William Ruto to ensure they were protected to send off their father and resettle.
