Kisii County Governor Simba Arati has ordered  a head count on  staff in a bid to cleanse  the payroll.

The exercise was also aimed at ascertaining staff establishment rid of ghost workers.

Addressing the press at The Kisii Agricultural Training College in Kisii , Arati noted the over 5,900 county employees will undergo a verification process of the authenticity of the academic certificates the held.

The governor  said  through the exercise workers with fake  documents will be weeded out thus sealing loopholes on financial leakage.

He maintained no one will be spared in the purge, saying his administration would ensure staff who had been fleecing the public of its funds were arrested and arraigned in court.
