The KCB Foundation Scholarship Program awarded scholarships to 1,000 bright but financially disadvantaged students, lighting their path to secondary education.

This year’s program champions inclusivity, welcoming students with disabilities among its recipients, and showcasing KCB Foundation’s unwavering commitment to equal opportunity.

The scholarship flag-off ceremony, held at the KCB Karen Leadership Centre, was graced by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu, who commissioned the scholars with inspiring words.

The CS said scholarships complement efforts by the government to ensure a 100 percent transition of learners into secondary schools adding that the Ministry will ensure all learners report to school.

At the same time, KCB Group Chief Executive Officer Paul Russo assured the learners of the bank’s support even as they will be joining institutions of higher learning.

According to the KCB CEO, 4657 learners have benefitted from the scholarships since 2007.
