Inter Agree Deal To Sign Manuel Akanji From Man City

Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Manchester City for the signing of Swiss defender Manuel Akanji on an initial loan. The deal includes a €2 million loan fee, with a €15 million buy option clause that could become mandatory under specific conditions in 2026.
Akanji is expected to undergo his medical in the coming hours before putting pen to paper on his new contract. The 29-year-old will join Cristian Chivu’s squad, strengthening Inter’s defensive options ahead of a demanding season.
The move marks a significant reinforcement for the Nerazzurri as they continue to build a competitive squad capable of challenging both domestically and in Europe.
