Arsenal Close In On €20 Million Leandro Trossard Sale To Beşiktaş

Arsenal are on the verge of completing the sale of Belgian forward Leandro Trossard to Turkish Süper Lig side Beşiktaş after the two clubs reportedly reached an agreement on a transfer fee of approximately €20 million. The deal, however, has not yet been finalized as negotiations over the player's personal terms continue.
Beşiktaş have identified Trossard as one of their priority targets during the summer transfer window and have spent several weeks in discussions with Arsenal. The Turkish club is understood to have improved its financial offer in recent days, paving the way for an agreement between the clubs.
The remaining obstacle to the transfer is an agreement between Beşiktaş and Trossard on the terms of his contract. Once personal terms are settled, the move will proceed to the final stages, including the completion of medical examinations and the signing of official documents.
Arsenal are believed to be open to Trossard's departure as the 31-year-old has entered the final year of his contract. The North London club sees this transfer window as an opportunity to generate a significant fee rather than risk losing the Belgian on a free transfer when his deal expires.
Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and quickly established himself as a reliable attacking option under manager Mikel Arteta. His versatility allowed him to play across the front line, contributing goals and assists in both domestic and European competitions.
During his time at the Emirates Stadium, Trossard featured prominently in Arsenal's Premier League and UEFA Champions League campaigns, earning praise for his consistency and ability to make an impact from both the starting lineup and the substitutes' bench.
Beşiktaş view the experienced Belgian international as an important addition to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the 2026–27 season. The club is aiming to challenge for major domestic honours and secure a strong campaign in European competition.
Arsenal are also expected to continue reshaping their squad this summer, with several arrivals anticipated in attacking positions. Trossard's departure would free up space in the squad while providing additional funds for further recruitment.
Although reports indicate that the clubs have agreed on the transfer fee, the move remains subject to personal terms and the completion of all regulatory procedures before it can be officially confirmed. Until then, Trossard remains an Arsenal player despite being close to completing a switch to Beşiktaş.
